30-day Claude SEO Plan (Week 1, 2, 3, and 4)
Week 1 through 4 of the Claude Code SEO Plan
30-Day SEO Plan with Claude Code
Setup before you start: turn on web search, and if you want real data instead of guesses, connect the DataForSEO MCP (keywords + SERPs) and the Google Search Console MCP (your own rankings/traffic). Run each prompt from inside your site's project folder so Claude Code can read and write your actual files.
Week 1 — Research
You're my SEO strategist working inside this project. My business: [WHAT YOU SELL + WHO YOUR ICP IS + LOCATION IF LOCAL] My site: [URL] Do these three jobs in order and save each to its own file. 1. keywords.md — Generate 30-50 high-buying-intent keywords and AI prompts my ICP searches when they're close to buying (where / best / how much / X near me / X vs Y), not informational "how to" queries. Put each in a table scored on buying intent (high/low) and rough traffic. Flag the high-intent ones to prioritize. Use web search (or DataForSEO if connected) to check real demand. 2. serp-analysis.md — For my top 10 priority keywords, check Google AND an LLM result (AI Overview / ChatGPT style). For each one give me: which brands rank or get cited, the winning content format (listicle / product page / short video / guide), and the exact source URLs feeding the citations. 3. ux-audit.md — Fetch my homepage and top landing page. Review them purely for conversion: clear CTAs above and below the fold, sticky CTA, load speed, no intrusive popups, mobile layout. Give me a prioritized fix list.
Week 2 — Authority + Technical
Using keywords.md and serp-analysis.md from week 1, do three jobs. 1. link-prospects.md — For my priority keywords, list the source URLs that LLMs cite and the sites ranking page 1. Split into: (a) existing cited pages where I want my brand added, (b) listicles I could pay or link-swap into, (c) guest post and niche edit targets. Include DR if available and the contact page. Draft a short outreach email template for each type. 2. format-copy.md — Tell me the dominant content format in the citations for each prompt and exactly what I should create or replicate, and where (my site, LinkedIn, etc). 3. tech-audit.md — Crawl my site [URL]. Report: PageSpeed issues, missing or broken schema, meta titles over 60 chars or missing, missing/long meta descriptions, mobile rendering problems. Prioritize the fixes, and where you can, write the schema markup and improved meta tags directly into my files.
Week 3 — Production
Job 1 — Content For [TARGET KEYWORD], the winning format from serp-analysis.md is [FORMAT]. Write a full piece that matches the intent and beats the current top 3. Pull in real, specific info (web search), add a proprietary angle (first-hand take, original data, or contrarian opinion), proper structure, and internal CTAs. Lead with the answer, no fluff intro. Save it ready to publish as [.md or .html]. Job 2 — Landing pages For each priority offering, either optimize my existing service/feature/location page or build a new one, including any elements the ranking competitor pages have that mine don't: clear value prop, how-it-works, CTAs throughout, trust elements. Build them as files in this project.
Week 4 — Automate
Set up repeatable SEO automations in this project so I can run the whole routine with a few commands. 1. Write a CLAUDE.md documenting my business, ICP, priority keywords, brand voice, and the workflow from the last 3 weeks, so every future session has context. 2. Create reusable commands for: weekly technical audit, new content brief from a keyword, draft a piece in my voice, generate schema for a page, find internal linking opportunities, monthly citation/brand-mention check. 3. Build a script that pulls my rankings and traffic (Search Console or DataForSEO MCP) and flags any page that dropped. Wire it so I can trigger the weekly SEO routine in one or two commands.
