Backlinks Prompt Pack

Ask Claude to build backlinks, and it will.

# Claude Code Backlinks — Copy-Paste Prompt Pack

One prompt per strategy. Open Claude Code (**make sure web search is on**), paste a prompt, fill in the `[BRACKETS]`, run.

The split: Claude does the research and drafting — the boring 80%. You send the email / submit the form / register the domain.

How to use this pack: every prompt is self-contained — grab any single one and it works on its own. Power move: paste Prompt 00 (Ground Rules) first and it sharpens every prompt you run after it in the same chat.

---

## Prompt 00 — Ground Rules (optional, paste first)

```
Ground rules for everything I ask next:
- Real data only. Every site, URL, email, or price must come from a page you actually found — include the source link. Can't find it? Say "not found." Never guess or invent.
- Judge quality by what you can see: skip dead, tiny, or spammy sites; favor established ones that clearly rank, post regularly, and get real traffic. Don't put made-up authority scores on anything.
- One row per website. Rank best-fit first. Mark your top 3 with a star.
- Contacts: only real ones from the site. No public email? Write "form only -> [contact URL]".
- Keep any outreach short, specific, and human — no "I love your content" filler.
- If web search is off or you can't verify something, tell me — don't fake it.
# S TIER
Donate to a nonprofit, get a link from their supporters page. Cheap, white-hat, sticky.
```

You're my SEO link-building assistant. Business: [BUSINESS + what you do]. Location: [CITY/REGION]. Site: [URL].

Goal: a list of nonprofits I can donate to in exchange for a link from their donor/supporter page.

Rules: real data only — include a source link for every charity; if you can't confirm something, say so, don't guess. Skip dead or spammy sites; favor established, legit charities. One row per charity, best fits first, star your top 3.

Find — search these and collect each charity's OWN website (not the directory page):

- site:greatnonprofits.org [NICHE THEME]

- site:charitynavigator.org [NICHE THEME]

- [NICHE] charity "donate" "our supporters"

- [NICHE] nonprofit "donate" "thank you to our"

- [NICHE] foundation "donors"

- [CITY] [NICHE] charity "donate"

Keep ONLY charities with BOTH (a) a working donate page and (b) a public page that links out to donors/supporters/partners — often named "friends", "champions", "honor roll", or hidden in the footer or /sitemap.xml. Drop directories (greatnonprofits, guidestar, globalgiving) and payment processors (justgiving, gofundme, donorbox).

Output — table: Charity | Donate page (link) | Supporters page (link) | Min donation if shown | Why it fits my niche/city.

Only include a charity if you actually opened its supporters page and saw that it links to supporters.

Then draft a short, warm email: introduce my business, say I'd like to support them, and ask to be listed as a supporter with a link to [URL]. Leave the amount as [AMOUNT].

```
You do: donate, then confirm the link went live.
---
Get your link added to an article that already exists and already ranks. No writing required.
```

You're my SEO outreach assistant. Site: [URL]. Page I want links to: [TARGET URL]. Topic: [TOPIC].

Goal: existing, already-published articles where my link fits as a natural mention (a "niche edit"), plus the pitch.

Rules: every article must be REAL and already live — you found it via search this session, include the URL. If you didn't actually find it, don't list it. No directories, no my-competitors' sales pages. Skip dead/spammy blogs; favor active sites that rank. One per domain, star your top 3.

Find — search:

- [TOPIC] guide -site:[MY DOMAIN]

- [TOPIC] intitle:[TOPIC] blog

- [TOPIC] "last updated" (2024..2026)

- close subtopics of [TOPIC] where my page would be a useful citation

Prefer articles that already link out and are missing a point my page covers.

Output — table: Site | Article URL | The exact sentence where my link fits (quote it from their article) | Suggested anchor text (natural, varied — not exact-match) | Why my link makes that paragraph better | Contact (real, or "form only -> URL").

Then write a short outreach email for my top pick: name the article, point to the exact spot, frame it as improving their piece, and include a [PRICE] placeholder in case they charge.

```
You do: send, negotiate. Tip: lead with the improvement, not the link — reply rates roughly double.
---
Trade contextual links with non-competing sites at a similar level.
```

Site: [URL]. Niche: [NICHE].

Goal: 20 sites in my niche or an adjacent one, at a similar level to mine, that are NOT direct competitors and DO publish articles — good candidates for a link swap.

Rules: real sites only, with a source link each. Skip link-farm "we swap with anyone" sites and anything spammy; favor real businesses with real traffic. Non-reciprocal swaps (A links B, B links C) are safer than direct A<->B. One per domain, star your top 3.

Output — table: Site | URL | Why it's a fit | Direct competitor? (must be No) | Best swap type (direct / 3-way) | Contact.

Then draft a friendly swap email: I'll link to them from a relevant, already-published article if they do the same — contextual links only, no homepage or footer links.

```
⚡ Arvow automates this exact thing — vetted, niche-relevant, non-reciprocal matching + placement, so you skip the outreach and the footprint risk. Demo the plug here.
## Guest Posts
Write for a site in your niche, earn a contextual author link. The workhorse.
```

You're my guest-post prospecting assistant. Niche: [NICHE]. Site: [URL]. Page to link to: [TARGET URL].

Goal: real sites that accept guest posts, then pitches for the best ones.

Rules: real sites only (source link each). Skip link farms and sites whose outbound links look spammy; favor established sites that rank and post regularly. One "write for us" URL per domain, star your top 5.

Find — run these in parallel, swapping in [NICHE]:

- inurl:"write for us" [NICHE]

- inurl:"guest post" [NICHE]

- [NICHE] "become a contributor"

- [NICHE] "submit a guest post"

- [NICHE] "guest post guidelines"

- [NICHE] "accepting guest posts"

- [NICHE] intitle:"write for us"

Output — table: Site | Write-for-us / contact URL | Their guidelines in one line | Contact (real or "form only -> URL").

Then for the top 5, draft for each: a short pitch email + 3 article title ideas matched to that site's audience (glance at their recent posts), each letting me link [TARGET URL] naturally.

```
You do: send + negotiate.
---
## Directory Listings
Structured citations. Boring, but foundational — especially for local and SaaS.
```

Business: [BUSINESS, what you do]. Type: [software / agency / local biz / ecommerce]. Niche: [NICHE]. Location: [if local]. Site: [URL].

Goal: 30+ directories where a business like mine belongs, then my listing copy.

Rules: real, reputable directories only (source link each). Skip "submit to 1,000 directories" spam. Note free vs paid; if you can't tell whether a link is dofollow, write "unknown" — don't guess. Most relevant first, star your top 5.

Find — by type:

- Niche directories for [NICHE]

- If software: G2, Capterra, GetApp, Product Hunt, AlternativeTo, SaaSHub

- If local: Google Business Profile, [CITY] business directory, [CITY] chamber of commerce, Yelp

- [NICHE] industry associations / trade bodies

Output — table: Directory | Submit URL | Free/Paid | Dofollow? (or unknown) | What the listing needs (fields, description length, logo) | Category.

Then write my listing copy, all consistent: a one-line tagline, a 50-word description, a 150-word description, and 5 category tags. If local, keep name/address/phone identical everywhere.

```
You do: submit each (or point a browser agent at the list).
---
## PR / Press Release
A real announcement, syndicated, earns news links + brand mentions.
```

Goal: a newsworthy press release for [ANNOUNCEMENT — e.g. we launched feature X].

Company: [NAME], [one line on what you do]. Facts: [what / why it matters / any numbers / a founder quote from me / date].

Rules: use ONLY the facts I give you — do not invent stats, quotes, or dates; if something's missing, leave a [PLACEHOLDER] and tell me what to fill. Any outlet you list must be real, with a link.

First, one line: what's the sharpest newsworthy angle here (or is this just a company update)?

Then write the release: headline, dateline, lead paragraph, body, "About [company]" boilerplate, media contact. Factual, newsy, not salesy, ~400 words.

Then a 4-sentence pitch email, plus 5-8 real outlets / journalists / newsletters that cover [NICHE] (with links) I could send it to.

```
You do: send via a distribution service + pitch the outlet list.
---
# B TIER
Public profiles with a link back. Low authority individually, good for link diversity + branding.
```

Site: [URL]. Business: [NAME], [what you do].

Goal: 20 real, high-authority platforms where I can create a public profile that links to my site.

Rules: real platforms only (signup link each). Be honest about dofollow vs nofollow — most profile links are nofollow, which is still fine for diversity; don't claim dofollow unless you know. Skip spammy "top 500 profiles" lists.

Find — by category:

- Dev / community: GitHub, dev.to, Stack Exchange

- Business: Crunchbase, product-review profiles, Wellfound

- Publishing: Medium, Substack about page

- Platforms specific to [NICHE]

Output — table: Platform | Where the profile link shows | Dofollow? (or unknown) | Signup URL | Notes.

Then write my profile bio (a short and a long version) + the exact link/anchor to use.

```
You do: create the accounts, add a real photo + full bio so the profile isn't spam-flagged and removed.
---
Higher-risk, against Google's guidelines. Included so you know what it is.
```

Goal: candidate expired/expiring domains I could register for a niche site in [NICHE].

Criteria: previously had real content (not spam), some links pointing to it, clean history, ideally [.com/.org].

Rules: you can't confirm availability or real authority without a paid tool — so present these as CANDIDATES TO VERIFY, never as facts, and never put a number on one you didn't measure. Show me where to look (expired-domain marketplaces, auctions) and surface specific candidates where you can.

Output — table: Domain | Roughly how old | What it used to be about | Red flags | How to verify (Wayback snapshot, check who links to it, Google-index check).

Flag anything with a dodgy past — adult/casino history, spammy anchors, weird link spikes.

```
Rebuild (after you register one):
```

I registered [DOMAIN], previously a [TOPIC] site. Rebuild it as a small, genuinely independent-looking blog: 5 article topics in that niche, a homepage + about page, then the 5 articles. Vary the voice so it doesn't read templated, make the about page feel like a real person/team, and include exactly ONE natural link to [MY SITE] inside one article.

```
> ⚠️ PBNs break Google's guidelines and can get sites penalized. Keep this as a "know it exists" strategy, not a recommendation.
---
## Parasite SEO (Platform Content)
Rank a page on a high-authority platform you don't own.
```

Goal: an article built to rank on a high-authority platform (Medium / LinkedIn) for "[KEYWORD]".

Match search intent, use a clear H2 structure, ~1200 words, with ONE natural mention + link to [MY PAGE] where it genuinely fits. Give me the title, a meta-style description, and the full article ready to paste. Real claims only.

```
> Video reminder: parasite SEO ranks the page, not the link (the link's usually nofollow) — say that so it's not oversold.
---
Consistent profile links across social platforms. Foundational, fast.
```

Business: [NAME], [what you do], site [URL].

Generate a consistent social setup: a bio for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok — each within that platform's character limit and style, all linking to [URL], with a consistent name + handle suggestion. One copy-paste block per platform.

```
You do: claim the profiles, paste the link into each bio.
---
Was tedious grunt work. Becomes a top strategy once Claude does the grind for you.
```

You're my broken-link-building assistant. Niche: [NICHE]. Page I'll pitch: [URL] (it covers: [DESC]).

I'll give you EITHER a competitor URL or a backlink export.

- Competitor URL: find resource/links pages in my niche that link out a lot, then check their outbound links for ones that now 404 or point to dead sites.

- Export: find the dead/404 target URLs and which pages link to them.

Rules: only call a link "broken" if you actually opened it and got a 404 / dead response — otherwise mark it "unchecked, verify manually." Never assume. Only offer my page as a replacement where it genuinely matches the dead one.

Find resource pages with: [NICHE] intitle:resources / [NICHE] inurl:links / [NICHE] "useful links" / [NICHE] "recommended tools".

Output — table: Resource page (link) | Dead URL | Status (404 / dead / unchecked) | Anchor of the dead link | Is my page a real match? | Contact (real or "form only -> URL").

Then draft outreach for the best target: friendly, name the specific broken link, offer my page as the fix, one line on why it matches.

```
Most reliable when you paste an Ahrefs export (you get the full dead-link set). Free version checks the outbound links Claude can crawl itself.
---
## Expired Domain 301 Redirect
Buy a relevant expired domain, redirect its authority into your site.
```

Goal: I'm buying expired domain [DOMAIN] to 301-redirect into [MY SITE].

Rules: only worth doing if [DOMAIN] is topically relevant to [MY SITE] — flag it if the topics don't match. Pull old data from the Wayback Machine where available; if you can't find its old structure or anchors, say so — don't invent them.

1. Get its old URL structure from Wayback + its old backlink anchors if findable.

2. Give me a page-by-page 301 map (old URL -> best-matching page on my site) so I'm not redirecting everything to the homepage.

3. Generate the .htaccess (Apache) and nginx rules for that map.

```
You do: buy the domain, set up the redirect, and check its anchor profile isn't spammy first.
---
Claude finds + drafts, you approve + execute. Every list is only as good as its honesty — that's what the Ground Rules prompt is for. Run it first.
