Backlinks, Content & Technical SEO

3 Claude Code SEO Prompts for building backlinks, creating content, and diagnosing technical SEO issues.

Content Creation

You're my SEO content strategist working inside this project.

My business: [WHAT YOU SELL + WHO YOUR ICP IS + LOCATION IF LOCAL]

My site: [URL]

Do this in order and save each step to its own file.

STEP 1 - keywords.md

Generate 30-50 high-buying-intent keywords and AI prompts my ICP searches when

they're close to buying (best / X vs Y / how much / X near me), not informational

"how to" queries. Score each on buying intent and rough traffic, and flag the ones

to prioritize. Verify real demand with web search (or DataForSEO if connected).

STEP 2 - serp-analysis.md

For my top 10 priority keywords, check BOTH Google and an LLM answer (AI Overview

or ChatGPT style). For each: which brands rank or get cited, the winning content

format (listicle / product page / guide / comparison / short video), and the exact

source URLs feeding those citations. This tells us what to build AND how to get

cited by AI.

STEP 3 - write the content

For each priority keyword, produce the format that actually wins for it (don't

default to blog posts). Each piece must:

- match search intent and beat the current top 3 results

- lead with the answer, no filler intro

- carry a proprietary angle: first-hand take, original data, or a contrarian

opinion (no generic commodity content)

- pull in real, specific facts verified with web search

- include internal links to my other relevant pages and clear CTAs

- include the right structured data (Article / FAQ / Product JSON-LD) in the file

Save each piece ready to publish.

STEP 4 - landing pages

For each core offering, either optimize my existing service/feature/location page

or build a new one, adding any elements the ranking competitor pages have that mine

don't: sharp value prop, how-it-works, CTAs throughout, trust elements, schema.

Build them as files in this project.

You're my link-building assistant. Two proven white-hat plays, both run on web

search alone (no paid tools). REAL DATA ONLY: every site, article, or email must

come from a page you actually opened this session - include the URL. If you can't

find or verify something, say so; never invent it. Make sure web search is on.

My site: [URL] Page I want links to: [TARGET URL] Topic/niche: [TOPIC]

=================================================================

PLAY A - NICHE EDITS (add my link to articles that already rank)

=================================================================

1. Find live, already-published articles in my niche where a link to my page fits

as a natural mention:

- [TOPIC] guide -site:[MY DOMAIN]

- [TOPIC] intitle:[TOPIC] blog

- [TOPIC] "last updated" (2024..2026)

- close subtopics of [TOPIC] where my page is a useful citation

Real businesses/blogs only - no directories, no competitors' sales pages, no

dead or spammy blogs. Favor active sites that rank.

2. Open each article and find the EXACT sentence where my link fits naturally.

3. Output - table, star your top 3:

Site | Article URL | Exact sentence where my link fits (quoted from the article)

| Suggested anchor (natural, varied - not exact-match) | Why my link improves

that spot | Contact (real, or "form only -> URL")

4. Draft a short outreach email for the top pick: name the article, point to the

exact spot, frame it as improving their piece, include a [PRICE] placeholder.

=================================================================

PLAY B - CHARITY LINKS (donate -> get listed on a supporters page)

=================================================================

1. Find charities/NGOs in or adjacent to my niche where I could donate and get a

link back:

- site:greatnonprofits.org [TOPIC]

- [TOPIC] charity "donate" "our supporters"

- [TOPIC] nonprofit "donate" "thank you to our"

- [TOPIC] foundation "donate" "donors"

Collect each charity's OWN homepage. Drop directories (greatnonprofits,

charitynavigator, guidestar), social media, and payment processors (justgiving,

gofundme, donorbox, classy, every.org).

2. Keep ONLY charities where you actually open the pages and confirm BOTH:

(a) a working donate page, AND

(b) a public supporters/donors/partners page whose names or logos LINK OUT to

supporters. An unlinked logo wall = no backlink, so drop it. The supporters

page is often named "friends", "champions", "honor roll", or hidden in the

footer or /sitemap.xml.

3. Output - table, star your top 3:

Charity | Donate page (link) | Supporters page (link - confirmed it links out)

| Rough entry cost if shown | Why it fits my niche

4. Draft a short, warm email: introduce my business, offer to support them, and ask

to be listed as a supporter with a link to [URL]. Leave the amount as [AMOUNT].

I'll send the emails and donate myself - your job is to find, verify, and draft.

Techical SEO

You're my technical SEO auditor. Audit my site, then fix what you can safely do

directly in the files.

My site: [URL]

STEP 1 - tech-audit.md (prioritized by impact)

- Core Web Vitals via PageSpeed Insights, mobile-first: LCP <2.5s, INP <200ms,

CLS <0.1. Report the real numbers; if data is unavailable, say so - don't guess.

(INP replaced FID - never reference FID.)

- Structured data: missing, broken, or deprecated schema (JSON-LD).

- Meta titles that are missing or over 60 characters.

- Meta descriptions that are missing or too long.

- Security headers present or missing: Strict-Transport-Security, Content-Security

-Policy, X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy,

Permissions-Policy.

- robots.txt + sitemap issues, and AI-crawler handling (GPTBot, ClaudeBot,

PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot - is the allow/block deliberate?).

- Redirect chains, broken internal links, orphan pages.

- Mobile rendering problems; thin or duplicate pages.

STEP 2 - fix it

Where you have file access, go ahead and:

- write correct JSON-LD schema for my key pages (Organization, WebSite, Product /

Article, FAQ)

- rewrite weak or too-long meta titles and descriptions (draw the eye, use numbers

where it fits, stay under the character limit)

- fix broken internal links and redirect chains

- output the exact security-header config for my server (nginx or Cloudflare)

Leave anything you can't safely auto-fix as a clear checklist with the exact change

to make.
