Google Search Console MCP: 6 Servers Compared (2026)
A Google Search Console MCP server connects your Search Console data to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, so you can ask "which queries lost clicks this month?" and get an answer from your real numbers. Google publishes an official MCP server for Google Analytics, but we found no official one for Search Console when we checked in November 2026. Every option is a third-party project built on Google's Search Console API. This page compares six of them: what each can do, whether it can change anything in your account, and what it costs.
Google Search Console MCP servers compared
| Server | Type | Tools | Can it change your account? | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arvow MCP | Hosted, part of an SEO platform | 49, four for Search Console | No, read-only | From $39 a month billed yearly |
| mcp-gsc | Open source, runs on your machine | 20 | Only if you switch it on | Free |
| Suganthan's GSC MCP | Open source, runs on your machine | 29 | Sends URLs to the Indexing API | Free |
| Search Console MCP | Hosted | 16 | Sitemap submit and delete | Free plan, then €4.99 a month |
| SyncWith | Hosted | Not stated on its page | No, read-only | Free plan with 35 refreshes a month |
| GSC Wizard | Hosted, Search Console analytics platform | Listed in its docs | No, read-only | From €17 a month |
Prices and tool counts come from each project's own page on November 6, 2026.
What a Google Search Console MCP server can do
All six sit on the same four parts of Google's Search Console API: performance data (clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position by query, page, country, device or date), URL inspection, sitemaps and the list of properties. They differ in three places: who hosts the server, whether it can write to your account, and how much analysis is built on top of the raw data.
The six servers
1. Arvow MCP: Search Console next to research and publishing
Arvow's MCP server has 49 tools. Four cover Search Console: connection status, a performance query, URL inspection and the sitemap list. The performance query returns clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position, grouped by date, query, page, country, device or search appearance, with filters and up to 1,000 rows per call. URL inspection returns coverage, verdict, last crawl time and indexing state.
The reason to pick it is what sits next to the data. The same connection runs keyword research, schedules articles and publishes to a connected CMS, and on the Business plan it also tracks how AI assistants mention your brand. So "find the queries where we rank 8 to 15, then schedule articles for them" happens in one chat.
The limits: it is read-only for Search Console and does not request indexing. It only works for projects that have connected Search Console inside Arvow. And it is part of a paid plan: MCP access is listed from Solo, from $39 a month billed yearly or $69 billed monthly, on arvow.com/pricing. If Search Console data is all you want, the free and cheaper options below fit better. ChatGPT connects with OAuth sign-in. Claude, Claude Code and Codex connect with an API key.
2. mcp-gsc: the most used open source server
mcp-gsc is a Python server under the MIT license, with more than 2,000 GitHub stars when we checked. It has 20 tools, including period comparison, the search terms behind a single page, and batch inspection of up to 10 URLs. By default it asks Google for read-only access, and adding a site, deleting a site and deleting a sitemap stay disabled until you set an environment variable that allows destructive operations.
The cost is setup. You create credentials in Google Cloud, either an OAuth client or a service account, and run the server next to a client such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex CLI or Gemini CLI. Its README notes that this local setup works in the Claude Desktop app, not on the Claude website. The author also runs a hosted version.
3. Suganthan's GSC MCP: the most analysis built in
Suganthan Mohanadasan's server is open source under Apache 2.0 and published on npm as suganthan-gsc-mcp. It lists 29 tools across quick wins, content decay, cannibalisation, image search, alerting and reporting. Setup takes about fifteen minutes by his own estimate and uses OAuth or a service account in your own Google Cloud project.
It is also the one that submits URLs. Its indexing tools call Google's Indexing API, one URL at a time or up to 200 in a batch. Read the policy section below before you use them on ordinary pages.
4. Search Console MCP: hosted, with the lowest paid price
Search Console MCP is a hosted server. You paste one URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another client and sign in with Google, with no Google Cloud project to create. It lists 16 tools. The free plan allows 40 data pulls a month on 3 properties. Solo removes the limits for €4.99 a month and Team covers a company domain for €29.99 a month, both excluding VAT, on its pricing page. It describes itself as read-only, though its tool list includes submitting and deleting sitemaps.
5. SyncWith: hosted, with a free tier
SyncWith's MCP server also uses a Google sign-in, needs no Cloud project and only reads. There is no separate charge for the server: each live query uses one refresh from your SyncWith plan, and the free Hobby plan includes 35 refreshes a month. Its page carries a warning that applies to every server here: query rows add up to less than the site total, because Google leaves rare queries out.
6. GSC Wizard: stored history and ready-made analyses
GSC Wizard is a Search Console analytics platform whose MCP is hosted and read-only. Its tools expose the platform's own analyses, such as cannibalization, content decay and striking distance, and its plans keep 10 years of history for stored properties. MCP access is in every plan on its pricing page: Starter is €17 a month for 10 API properties, Pro is €39 and Business is €249, each with a 7-day trial.
How to choose a Search Console MCP
- You want answers from your own data at no cost: mcp-gsc or Suganthan's server, if you are comfortable creating Google Cloud credentials.
- You want no setup: Search Console MCP or SyncWith. Both have a free tier.
- You want long history and ready-made reports: GSC Wizard.
- You want the assistant to act on what it finds: Arvow, because the same connection researches keywords, writes and publishes.
What Google allows: API limits and indexing requests
Two rules from Google apply to every server on this list.
First, the Search Console API has usage limits per site, per user and per project. An assistant that fires many queries for one question can hit them and get a quota exceeded error.
Second, the Search Console API cannot request indexing. Its methods cover search analytics, sitemaps, sites and URL inspection, and URL inspection only reports a page's status. Tools that submit a URL for indexing use the separate Indexing API, which Google says can only be used for pages with job posting or livestream video markup. For an ordinary blog post or product page, request indexing in the Search Console interface.
How to connect Search Console to ChatGPT or Claude with Arvow
- In Arvow, connect Google Search Console to your project.
- In ChatGPT, create a custom connector with the URL
https://api.arvow.com/mcp, choose OAuth and sign in. In Claude, add a connector with the MCP URL from your Arvow organization settings and your API key in anx-api-keyheader. - Ask: "Check Search Console for this project and summarize the top queries from the last 28 days."
The full steps for each client are on the Arvow MCP page.
FAQ
Is there an official Google Search Console MCP server?
Not that we found in November 2026. Google publishes an official MCP server for Google Analytics. The Search Console servers are third-party projects built on Google's Search Console API.
Can a Google Search Console MCP submit URLs for indexing?
Not through the Search Console API, which has no method for it. Some servers call the Indexing API instead, which Google limits to job posting and livestream video pages.
Is a Google Search Console MCP server free?
The open source ones are: mcp-gsc and Suganthan's GSC MCP. Search Console MCP and SyncWith have free tiers. GSC Wizard starts at €17 a month and Arvow at $39 a month billed yearly, and both include more than Search Console data.
Can a Search Console MCP change my account?
Most are read-only. mcp-gsc can add or remove properties and delete sitemaps only if you enable it, Search Console MCP lists sitemap submission and deletion, and Suganthan's server can send URLs to the Indexing API.
Does a Google Search Console MCP work with ChatGPT and Claude?
The hosted ones list both: Arvow, Search Console MCP, SyncWith and GSC Wizard. The open source servers run on your machine, so they need a desktop client such as Claude Desktop, Cursor or a coding agent.
Want Search Console data, keyword research and publishing in one connection? Arvow's MCP server gives ChatGPT and Claude 49 tools, from $39 a month billed yearly.
